Listen to this episode below:
As the director of Easy Living Property, Ash has been specialising in the high end HMO market since 2008. With 12 properties and 83 tenants, he talks to us in this week’s property podcast about how his company sources, refurbishes and manages HMOs.
He is most proud of the fact that in over 8 years he has never had to issue a section 8 or section 21 notice. He is currently working on a massive 40 bedroom HMO, and already has an equally impressive 21 bedroom HMO already up and running.
In addition to this, he is the owner and founder of The HMO Group on Facebook with over 4,000 members, started with the desire to help others, and is a Patron at Peace One Day, a charity looking to institutionalise Peace Day, an annual day of global unity and intercultural cooperation.

The Secret – Rhonda Byrne
Biggest Success
Transforming a failed care home into a 21 bedroom HMO. He ran a dummy add before starting and when the phone never stopped ringing, he knew he was on to something. Find out how he was able to work with the council to get them supporting the development.
Biggest Difficulty
Trusting a difficult tenant and giving them the benefit of the doubt. Sadly the gamble didn’t pay off, but it encouraged systems to be put in place that have allowed Ash to grow his business and prevent the same mistakes happening again.

“A Passive Income takes 6-years” has to be one of the best observations I’ve heard on the podcast so far…A great interview – What a great guy!
Thank you Julian, not an easy journey by any means but once you get into the rhythm you really do find yourself on cruise control.
