Mike & Victoria Stenhouse have been investing in property for over a decade and HMOs since 2014.
Their portfolio of professional HMOs is predominantly focussed around Stockport, Greater Manchester and their most recent purchase is a commercial building they intend to convert to a 7 bedroom HMO in an Article 4 area.
Emma Stubbings (Ikon Property) started her portfolio by investing in the North West despite living in Cambridge, because she thought it was only viable to invest in cheaper areas.
She's now changed her approach and found ways to make investing in HMOs work on her doorstep despite the higher costs. She's got a busy summer planned with student refurbs over the holiday period!
Roland Symonds (bricks_and_daughters) is a London based investor with over 30 HMO rooms in the capital city. Despite the common objections that London is too expensive or too competitive, he decided to focus on his own doorstep and find a way to make HMOs work.
His most recent project was bought for £425,000, required a renovation costing £200,000, and was then valued at £920,000!
Jade Bailey (Beespace) has been building her HMO portfolio in Nottingham for around 5 years, using her design expertise to create properties that stood out in an already competitive market.
Now she continues to focus on HMOs, alongside serviced apartments and co-working spaces, whilst helping to encourage and support other females within the industry.
Craig Sullivan (The Property Apprentice) seems unstoppable when it comes to growing his property business in Kent. His long term goal is to own 50 properties, and with 22 under his belt at such a young age there's no doubt in my mind he'll get there.
But he wants to get their quickly as well, so there's no hanging around saying 'the market's overpriced - I'll just wait a year or two to see what happens'. He's having to figure out how to find good deals despite the current market.

We've been investing in property for over a decade. We had some fun with it early on, renovating our own homes and blasting the profits on nice holidays, but we quickly realised it could be a route out of the corporate world.
Mike left first in 2013 and focussed on building an income from professional shared houses, and two years later I was able to follow when we achieved financial security.
Since then we've continued to invest in residential property and expanded into commercial as well. Our portfolio is a mix of single lets, HMOs, serviced accommodation and commercial units.
Along the way we've built a great team who now help us run our business and grow it quicker, and we've learnt some important lessons as well.

Due to the current Covid restrictions, these open days will take place virtually, meaning you can join us from the comfort of your own home whilst still benefiting from our expertise and insights.
As much as possible we'll be trying to replicate the success of our live Open Days, with a few additional benefits and enhancements:
1) No travel requirement - we usually have guests attend from all corners of the UK and overseas, meaning many hours of driving or even an overnight stay. Whilst we won't be able to shake your hand or buy you a coffee, you can join from the comfort of your own home, in your pyjamas, and not have to get your shoes dirty on building sites. Not only that, but come 5pm you'll already be home!
2) Cheaper ticket price - due to the slightly higher numbers we can accommodate during a virtual event, we can provide the same excellent education and entertainment as our live events at a lower price.

3) Covid secure - obviously the current global pandemic has changed the way we live and work, but that doesn't mean we need to stop making progress with our business and towards our goals.
We are actively still buying property, raising finance, and completing renovations and we would like to be able to support you in doing the same without the potential health risks of an in-person event.
We hope to get back to meeting people face-to-face as soon as possible, but in the meantime we're excited to spend the day with you from the comfort of your home or office.

Mike has been investing in property part-time for 15 years, buying his first buy to let at 18 years old. As a couple they have been investing full time for around 6 years after replacing their corporate salaries predominantly through the purchase of HMOs (professional shared houses). Their portfolio now consists of HMOs, single lets, serviced apartments and commercial property.
They currently spend part of the year in the UK and part of the year living on their boat in Europe. They haven't retired (far from it), but are passionate about creating a business that gives them time and location freedom, and helping others to achieve their own version of these goals through property.
They'll also be joined by other successful HMO investors from across the UK to share case studies of exactly what is working for them right now in the current market.
